We have now re-engineered the original QPA and replaced it with the more advanced QPC, Quantitative Plankton Classifier. Still enabling the end user to run a plankton sample through a closed loop analysis, but with the addition of an updatable Plankton Classifier. Now the workflow takes a further step and after image segmentation, the QPC compares the captured objects against an image model. Any object that falls into the unknown category is added to a zip package along with the Peri-Scopes unique ID which can be uploaded to the online Peri-Scope model builder for further analysis. This data is then added to either your site model, your company model or a regional model (depending on what service you subscribe to) and the new image set can then be downloaded to your QPC and others in your company.
